Fat Bottom Bag

I finally got around to making the Fat Bottom Bag from Debbie Stoller's book Stitch 'n' Bitch: The Happy Hooker. I made this in preparation for our upcoming beach trip in June.

I made some modifications to it. I created a lining with a central divider, creating two large pockets. Then I put small pockets on each outer lining edge: a single pocket on one side and a double on the other for my PDA and cell phone. In case the purse gets dirty, I wanted to be able to remove it from the handles to wash it. So I created buttonholes on the handle attachment part, and added 3 pink buttons on each side. Then I added small seashells on each side just underneath the handles.

  • Those bags look great, and the linings are so very pretty.

  • I hope you explain how to make the graduated color change and share the pattern I would love to pdf it and back it up on cd in case of the lovely situation I am getting over of computer crashitis...love your patterns.

  • Tonya, the pattern came from Debbie Stoller's Stitch 'n Bitch Crochet: Happy Hooker. To get the pattern, you'll have to buy the booik.

There isn't any graduated color change: it's just one solid color yarn. I don't know why your computer is showing color changes.
